Prirazlomnaya

An offshore Arctic «Prirazlomnoye» oilfield located in the Pechora Sea south of Novaya Zemlya. It is the first commercial offshore oil development in the Arctic, commercial drilling was started in 2013.
Ice-breaking standby vessels operate in off-shore projects and have multifunctional purposes according to their design and equipment. They can serve as a supplying vessel providing year-round delivery of supplies and consumables for personnel on offshore oil platforms. Some provide assistance in emergency cases – evacuating people on board if an accident happens, together with preventing spread of oil spill or cleaning water areas.
