Elena Chernyshova is a Russian\/French documentary self-taught photographer.<\/p>\n

She got a passion for this visual language during her studies in the Moscow Architectural Academy and developed it during a 3-year bicycle trip in Eurasia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Photography for her is a way to investigate the daily life of different groups and communities in the context of environmental, political, and economic changes.<\/p>\n

In 2011 Elena received a grant from the Lagard\u00e8re Foundation to create her first photo documentary \u2018Days of Night \u2013 Nights of Day\u2019 that was recognized by World Press Photo, Days Japan Award and etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She regularly collaborates with National Geographic Russia, GEO, Stern, Figaro, Le Monde and others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
